Documentary Family

It's time you were ALL in the frame. It's worth remembering the fleeting precious moments-- the hard and the highs. Can you imagine sharing prints of your beautiful, messy, deliciously normal life with your children... years down the road? Can you imagine having a record of those stretching deep years? I believe we should remember Saturday morning pancakes and campfire smores and handprints on the windows. It think we ought to celebrate game night with Grandpa, decorating holiday cookies, learning to skate, bringing home baby. I hope we take time to see that last hug in the hospital, that first embrace, those who showed up and those who were absent.

Documentary Style Photography (also known as Storytelling Photography) is the opportunity to laugh, grieve, and express your authentic life, without props or poses. It's all the real. All the mess. All the beauty in the normal. (Parents and kids especially love the freedom to just BE without the pressure to "say cheese".) Tears are okay. Hugs are a gift. Snotty noses are normal. Every breath, each moment in between, is a gift.

Your life, relationships, and personal journey is unique, valuable, and worthy of remembering.

“I have found that it is the small everyday deed of ordinary folks that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love." ~ Gandalf (J. R. R. Tolkein)”
