Can you do doula AND birth photography?
Absolutely! It's actually my favorite!
Book one and then add the other for $275. 95% of my doula clients choose to add on the photos!
What kind of camera gear do you use?
I shot with a Canon 6D for 5 years and recently upgraded to a new mirrorless Canon Eos R. It is AMAZING. I use a collection of lenses chosen for their low light ability and fast focus, and edit solely in Lightroom with film based edits. From birth to bereavement, low light to sunlight, your moments will be captured with professionalism and skill.
What kind of doula are you?
I'm a certified birth doula (through Birth Arts International) and childbirth educator (educated through Lamaze). I believe in empowering couples to work together towards strength, unity, joy, and peace. Your birth journey is worth investing in!
Do I have to order prints through you?
Nope. Your payment covers your session AND the digital gallery that is ready to download and print for personal use. I'm personally a fan of quality prints though so if you WANT pro lab prints, I can order them for you. It's a win-win all around.
Is there a size limit in your family photos?
Prices for family photos are currently aimed to "immediate family groups". If you'd like to add in the grandparents or babysitter or others, there is an additional fee of $25/couple or individual.
Is a 'bereavement session' the same as photos at our unexpected still birth?
No. Bereavement Sessions are different and give families the opportunity to document their loved ones memorial event such as a funeral or family gathering. I discreetly document the service, the home, the details that are often missed in the fog of grief. It might sound... different... but it is well worth it.
